In addition to visiting almost every ski area in Sweden, we have also visited many ski resorts in Europe, the USA, Canada and Japan. In recent years, we've been trying to find some extraordinary skiing.

Genuine little gem with great skiing.

Advanced and steep off-piste skiing during the day and Stureplan in the evening.

Banff - Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise - Alberta, Canada

Banff and the surrounding ski areas are for those who are looking for varied skiing and who want a greater nature and adventure experience than most other places in the world.

Niseko, Japan

Niseko is powder lovers' number one playground. The snow is cold and dry and it never stops snowing.

Portes du Soleil (Avoriaz, Morzine, Champery), France/Switzerland

Portes du Soleil is the largest or second largest ski area in the world depending on how you count.

Breckenridge, Colorado, USA

One of Colorado's largest ski resorts. Plenty of dry snow at high altitude.

Zermatt, Switzerland

A large ski resort.

Engadin - St Moritz, Switzerland

Engadin is a valley with several ski areas. The main town is St. Moritz, known as a winter sports resort for the rich and famous.

Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia, Canada

In 2006 and 2007, we took just over a year off and traveled around the world. The trip ended with a season of skiing in Whistler.

Val d'isére, France

Val d'isére is good! Huge with lots of vertical drop, long well-prepared slopes and unlimited off-piste.

Park City, The Canyons and Deer Valley, Utah, USA

Within an hour of Salt Lake City are several world-class ski areas. The climate makes the snow extremely dry.

Kvitfjell, Norway

The skiing is clearly adult as red and black slopes dominate. The Störtlopp piste is hair-raisingly steep.

Winterpark, Colorado, USA

In the Mary Jane area there are very good moguls, forest gullies and really steep skiing, and if you want to relax with long carving turns, Winter Park Mountain is a piste mecca.

Laax, Flims and Fallera, Switzerland

Laax, Flims and Fallera offer the most gentle skiing.
