Individual training for those leading strategic change

Change is necessary

We live in a world of constant change. Companies and other organizations' stakeholders are changing their behaviours and thus their expectations at an ever-increasing pace and what was a truth yesterday may be completely wrong tomorrow.

In an uncertain world, leaders often make decisions that not only reduce risk but also reduce potential, leaving their organizations vulnerable. The right leadership can go beyond the most common decisions and find more powerful solutions.

Individual training

We are aimed at those who lead change and the purpose of the training is to increase your knowledge of how to lead and drive successful change within your organization while increasing your awareness of yourself and other people.

Through an unusual experience far away from everyday life and with a strong connection to nature, we increase the effectiveness of your training and give you the opportunity to think in new ways.

The individual training focuses on personal leadership for the development of businesses and is based on your own conditions. You get your own personal profile and during the week you work with your coach to develop a personal action plan.

You will have access to the latest findings in change management and carry out exercises to increase your knowledge of what change is and how to implement it successfully.

Much of the training takes place outdoors.

Personal training program

  • Personal leadership qualities in yourself and others
  • Effects of change
  • Successful change - What are the methods?
  • Planning of change management including links to strategy
  • Identification of the impact in the organization and evaluation of the probability of success.
  • Creating anchoring and mobilization on a broad front
  • Measurement and monitoring

You and your coach make a plan for the week together and all training is done individually with the same coach.

The location

The training takes place in the middle of Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. The park entrance is about 1.5 hours by car from Calgary and offers breathtaking natural scenery.

Accommodation

We stay at the high standard Sunshine Mountain Lodge, located high in the mountains in roadless wilderness just outside the town of Banff in the middle of Banff National Park. The property can only be accessed via a 5 kilometer gondola lift. The hotel is also home to our training facilities and adjacent to it are ski rentals, a sports shop and a couple of cafes and restaurants.

Skiing

It snows more than 9 meters per season on average in the area and, being on the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains and more than 100 miles from the coast, the snow is so dry that ice on the slopes is virtually non-existent.

You can reach all lifts directly from our accommodation. Most of the skiing is above the tree line and there is unlimited lift-assisted skiing both on and off piste. Most of the skiing is on the blue-red scale and is suitable for both beginners and intermediate skiers. However, there are also some really steep runs such as the Delirium Dive that require some preparation before the area's Ski Patrol approves the skier.

The atmosphere in Sunshine Village is relaxed and friendly and don't be surprised to see Long Horn Sheeps or Elks in the middle of the hill. Most bears are asleep at this time of year, but they have been known to wake up for a walk. When the lifts have stopped running and the moon is shining over the mountains, the scenery is unbeatable.

The area offers great variety in skiing and provides a greater nature and adventure experience than you can get anywhere else in the world.

We meet at an upper middle class hotel in Calgary where we spend one night. Flight time from Stockholm to Calgary is estimated at 13 hours depending on the route and airline.

After breakfast the day after arrival, we go together to the hotel reception located in the valley station in Sunshine Village where we change into ski clothes and check in. The luggage is then transported to our hotel rooms at the lodge while we take the first session of the leadership training on skis.

What is included

As many companies have their own agreements with airlines that give better prices than we can arrange, the flight is not included in the price. If you do not have an airline agreement, we recommend traveling with Island Air via Reykjavik.

The package includes one night in an upper middle class hotel in Calgary, transfer to Sunshine Village and from Sunshine Village to the airport, accommodation six nights at Sunshine Mountain Lodge in single room including half board (breakfast and dinner), ski pass, share in conference room, training according to program including documentation.
