Walking around Stockholm

If you're looking for a little adventure in the wilderness and also like to exercise, there are plenty of hiking trails around Stockholm. The four biggest trails are Upplandsleden, Roslagsleden with the side trail Blå leden and Sörmlandsleden. Together, these four trails alone offer almost 2000 kilometers(!) of hiking and are easily accessible, even by public transport.

In addition to nature, relaxation and exercise, hiking offers great opportunities for conversation and does not require expensive equipment.

I use lightweight hiking boots with a half-high shaft. My backpack contains rainwear and other reinforcement items depending on the weather and season. I usually carry two liters of water for a day's hike and, of course, food and snacks. A map is essential and a first aid kit is always good to have.

On this page you will find descriptions of the trails and the different stages.

On our tracker page SpotAdventures you will also find several of the walks plotted on maps and some pictures.
