Upplandsleden Stage 3 Runsa - Sigtuna 16.5 km

The first part of this stage is easy to walk on gravel roads or forest roads. Soon you pass Rosersberg Castle, which is a well-kept castle from 1630 with a wonderful garden with old oak trees and a nice view of Lake Mälaren. A suitable place for lunch is the swimming area at Steninge.

After lunch you pass Steninge Castle from 1705. This castle is closed for a long time due to a major renovation but the large stable building from 1873 is now a shopping center in manor style. The last five kilometers go through hilly forest and soon you see Sigtuna.

This stage is easy to walk and may provide more historical impressions than nature experiences.

There is a bus from Upplands Väsby Pendeltågsstation to Runsa and a bus from Sigtuna to Pendeltågsstation in Märsta.
