Upplandsleden Stage 1 Barkarby - Kallhäll 18 km

The start of the Upplandsleden is in Barkarby. The trail first runs on footpaths past Viksjö Golf Club and later enters the forest.

Once in the forest, the trail runs along the edge of Hässelby and Lövsta to turn north towards the ancient castle of Gåseborg, which offers wonderful views of Lake Mälaren.

The trail continues slightly hilly along Lake Mälaren on small paths. Before the stage finish in Kallhäll, you pass Görvälns castle from the 17th century. In summer there is a café here.

If you travel by public transport, the commuter train stops at Barkarby and Kalhäll.
