A WWF survey shows that forests are the most important type of nature for Swedes to protect, followed by lakes and the Baltic Sea.
60% of Swedes say they have been to the forest in the last week and over 40% have spent ten hours or more in the forest in the last month.
According to the survey, 87% are affected positively or very positively when they are out and about in the forest. 82% say that hearing birdsong makes them happy.
According to the survey, 92% of Swedes say they think we should tighten the law to protect Swedish forests and that we need to allocate financial resources.
