Scrubba - A washing machine for the wilderness
Scrubba is a smart waterproof bag with a built-in washboard to wash clothes when you're in the wilderness or traveling.
The Scrubba bag with washboard holds a couple of t-shirts, a few pairs of socks and some underwear. Fill the bag with up to 50°C water and a little detergent, deflate the bag and then scrub the laundry against the bottom of the bag for three minutes or longer. Drain the dirty water and rinse a few times with clean water and you're done. The bag dries out and in in a flash. For the removal of single stains, only 30 seconds of scrubbing is often enough.
The bag weighs 180 grams and holds 13 liters and can of course be used as a regular waterproof storage (drybag) when you are not washing. This way you do not add any weight to your pack. The bag has a fully sealed roll closure and a screw-valve to release air. The instructions for use are printed on the outside of the bag.
Liquid detergents, such as Sea To Summit Wilderness Wash, are recommended. As usual, pour the washing water far from water, even if you use environmentally friendly detergent.
Scrubba is also available in a smaller size and in different colors.
