Canada across
Three years in the Canadian wilderness
Lars Monsen is one of Norway's greatest adventurers. In 947 days he traveled by canoe, dogsled and on foot 8252 kilometers across Canada from Kaktovik to Goose Bay. It is probably one of the longest expeditions ever undertaken without motor power.
He shot the film himself in a kind of video blog format. The viewer gets to experience Canada's amazing wilderness up close, see lots of wild animals and be inspired by Monsen's special personality during sometimes brutal hardships but also in quiet everyday life in front of a crackling campfire.
You'll also learn about different parts of Canada and the people who live there, from warm summer days to days with snow a meter deep and -70 degrees cold.
Monsen tells an amazing story. His incredible journey lasted almost three years, but the three hours of movie disappear quickly. If you have the slightest interest in the outdoors and/or are looking for an extended trip into the wilderness, this series is a must.
