why outdoors?

10 minutes in nature gives a positive feeling

Even a short time in nature gives you a positive frame of mind.

In a study by Hans Gelter, Associate Professor at LuleƄ University of Technology, 221 adults were asked to sit quietly in nature by themselves. After ten minutes of silence, each participant was asked to write down their thoughts and feelings.

The results showed that 96% of participants expressed a positive feeling about this encounter with nature. The most common reflection was on participants' mood, expressed through words such as calm, relaxation, stillness, silence, peace, harmony and recharging the batteries. Almost as common were comments about new experiences such as seeing, hearing, feeling and smelling the environment and becoming more aware of details. A third type of response expressed feelings of gratitude, fearlessness, happiness and freedom.

The study, like many other studies, confirms that contact with nature is a uniquely positive experience. It relaxes people and puts them in a positive frame of mind, leading them to expand their senses and rediscover details. Thoughts are allowed to wander freely and everyday problems are forgotten.

A balanced body and brain combined with open minds means opportunities to think outside the box and are optimal conditions for the development of your team and business.

Should we have coffee or go for a walk?

Being a leader can be lonely. A cup of coffee, a walk and someone to talk to can be a start.
