The second-generation Spot tracker is a small satellite-based emergency transmitter that covers almost the entire globe. The small box is waterproof and weighs only 147 grams and is powered by three Lithium AAA batteries that last one year under normal use.

As well as being used for emergencies, it can also be used to communicate with family and friends while traveling. For example, you can send your GPS coordinates at regular intervals to let them know where you are and that you are okay even if you don't have cell phone coverage. If you wish, these messages can be posted online on a map so that anyone can follow your trip in real time.

If you get into trouble, you can send emergency messages to selected friends and if you are in urgent need of help, you can alert the emergency services in your country. In addition, additional insurance for a small annual fee covers rescue costs of up to USD 100,000.

Should we have coffee or go for a walk?

Being a leader can be lonely. A cup of coffee, a walk and someone to talk to can be a start.
