Aspen Extreme
Feature film with great old-school skiing in the amazing wilderness environments of the Rocky Mountains.
Aspen Extreme is about TJ and Dex who decide to leave their boring jobs in Detroit to go to Aspen, Colorado where they get jobs as ski instructors. TJ is popular with the ladies and is soon hooking up with a wealthy snow queen. His buddy Dex gets caught up in drug deals and loses his job and their friendship is threatened. TJ wants to realize his dream of becoming a writer and when Dex is killed by an avalanche, TJ discovers that there is more to life than sun, snow, and sex.
The film that came in 1993 reflects the glamorous side of Colorado's skiing is perhaps not the world's best in terms of acting and action but is still clearly worth seeing as it also contains a lot of good old-school skiing in the fantastic wilderness environments of the Rocky Mountains. As stand ins in the skiing scenes you see big mountain specialists Scot Schmidt and Doug Coombs.
